Morrissey Savages Politically Correct UK: “Free Speech No Longer Exists”
Infowars – Music icon Morrissey has launched a stinging rebuke against the politically correct state of the United Kingdom, asserting that “free speech no longer exists” and blaming totalitarian leftists for censoring art and policing opinion.
The former Smiths front man posted a long diatribe to his website after the Independent, a left-wing newspaper, smeared him as a bigot for approving of a man waving a Union Jack flag at one of his performances and accusing him of “loving Brexit”.
The article also suggested Morrissey was racist for pointing out the clear connection between increased migration and the sexual assault of women in European cities and for decrying Chinese people for mistreating animals.
Morrissey hit back with a huge rant in which he savaged both the newspaper and the politically correct attitude it represents.

Trump instructs military to begin planning for withdrawal from Syria
Washington Post – President Trump has instructed military leaders to prepare to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, but has not set a date for them to do so, according to a senior administration official.
In a meeting with top national security officials Tuesday, Trump stressed that U.S. troops can be involved in current training tasks for local forces to ensure security in areas liberated from the Islamic State, the official said.
But the president said that the U.S. mission would not extend beyond the destruction of the Islamic State, and that he expects other countries, particularly wealthy Arab states in the region, to pick up the task of paying for reconstruction of stabilized areas, including sending their own troops, if necessary.

Jaws drop as great white shark interrupts Australian police operation
Daily Mail – A great white shark swimming in one of Australia’s most renowned shark habitats interrupted a police operation on Saturday by serenely terrifying the officers.
The shark, dubbed Noah by South Australia police, glided in between a police dinghy containing two life-jacketed police officers and their intended target, a recreational fishing boat selected for a random breath test.
It was about 4.5 metres (15ft) long – longer than the inflatable dinghy – and swam after the small boat before circling back to the 5.7-metre fishing boat that it had been following for the previous 10 minutes.
“Police were concentrating on recreational boats and checking registration, licences and safety equipment along with alcohol and drug-testing operators when they were paid a visit by one of the locals,” SA police wrote on social media. “Noah wasn’t keen on being breath tested and our Water Operations Unit officers were happy to oblige!”
One of the men on the recreational fishing boat told ABC radio in Adelaide that they had been trying to escape the shark when police approached.

170 million Americans may have toxic levels of radium in their tap water
NaturalNews – A dangerous radioactive element could be lurking in your tap water. It’s odorless, invisible, and tasteless but it’s affecting up to 170 million Americans every day. This naturally occurring carcinogen leeches into the water supply from deep rock aquifers and is not filtered out of the water before it heads to your tap.
Radium-226 and Radium-228 are now measured in most water samples collected across the United States and radium levels are increasing. From 2010 to 2015, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) analyzed radium test results from public water systems across the U.S. The EWG found high levels of radium in water supplies that impact an estimated 170 million Americans! The EWG put together an interactive map that reveals the amount of radium measured in tap water for hundreds of U.S cities. Enter your zip code to find out how much radium is in your tap water.

When the Death of a Family Farm Leads to Suicide
NYT – Fred Morgan was already deep in debt from rebuilding his milking barn after a fire when milk prices plunged in 2015, setting off an economic drought that is now entering its fourth year — the worst in recent memory for dairy farmers in New York State.
With the farm operating at a loss and facing foreclosure, Mr. Morgan believed his only solution was his $150,000 life insurance policy. He said he planned on killing himself so his family could receive the payout.
“I’d sacrifice my life so my family could keep the farm,” Mr. Morgan said. His wife persuaded him otherwise.
Mr. Morgan was hardly alone in his suicide plan. There has been a spate of suicides in the state as the dairy industry has nose-dived, resulting in the closing of hundreds of small farms. While the dairy industry nationwide is in the grip of an economic crisis — fueled by decreasing demand as customers turn to milk alternatives — the picture is particularly bleak in New York where dairy sales represent about half of total farm sales every year.
New York is the third largest milk-producing state in the country and low milk prices have not only devastated farmers financially — most are selling milk for less than it costs to produce — but also emotionally.
The situation has become so grim that NY FarmNet, a leading farm support group, has started running suicide prevention training for local agricultural service providers and lenders who deal with dairy farmers.
